HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT?
Express.com uses the personal information we collect from you for the following purposes:
Prior to July 6, 2010 Express.com shared your e-mail address with Bath & Body Works, The Limited, Victoria’s Secret, and other companies affiliated with Bath and Body Works and Victoria’s Secret. If you provide your email address to us after July 7, 2008 (including updating your e-mail information), provided you have not opted out of receiving marketing emails from us, your email address may also be shared with other companies, so that those businesses may send you information about their products. If you no longer want to receive email from express.com, you can follow the removal instructions located at the bottom of the next e-mail you receive from express.com. Please be aware, even if you elect not to receive e-mail, or subsequently ask to be removed from receiving email from express.com, you may still receive e-mail confirmations for online purchases and you may receive e-mails sent by a friend using E-mail a Friend.
The information you provide when you make a purchase at express.com (for example, name, address, credit card) will be added to a database and prior to July 6, 2010 was shared with Bath and Body Works and Victoria’s Secret. The information in the database may also be used to provide names and addresses to other companies. When you send an E-mail a Friend from express.com, we will send your selected recipient your e-mail address, message, and your selected outfit or item(s). We may include an opportunity for the recipient to sign up to receive promotional materials from express.com.
World Financial Network National Bank (WFNNB) issues and owns the Express credit card accounts. If you apply online for an Express credit card with WFNNB and, once opened, you elect to pay your account online, you will be providing your personal information directly to WFNNB and the information you provide to WFNNB would be subject to WFNNB’s privacy policies.
We may occasionally participate in sweepstakes with other companies with a link to a Web site hosted by the other company. If you elect to participate in the sweepstakes by going to the linked Web site, you may be providing personal information, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and gender directly to the company that is hosting the sweepstakes Web site.
