Return Policy
Express gladly accepts returns and exchanges made within 90 days of purchase. Merchandise purchased from Express.com may be returned by mail or to any Express store. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. You will need to pay for return shipping, but Express will ship any exchanged merchandise free of charge. Express.com cannot handle returns or exchanges of purchases made in an Express store.

Special Occasion Dress Returns
All Express special occasion dresses are delivered with an attached dress tag. Please decide if you are completely satisfied with your dress before you remove this tag. Once the tag has been removed, the dress may not be returned or exchanged.

Online Exclusive Swimwear Returns
All unworn, unwashed Express Swim pieces must be returned or exchanged through Express.com.
You will not be charged the cost of return shipping for returning or exchanging your swim items using the prepaid return label provided. Please note that swim bottoms come with an attached sanitation insert. We ask that you decide if you are completely satisfied with your swim bottoms before you remove this insert. Once the insert has been removed, the item may not be returned or exchanged. Store locations are unable to accept returns or exchanges of swim.

Online Exclusive Shoe Returns
All unworn, unwashed Online Exclusive shoes must be returned or exchanged through Express.com.
You will not be charged the cost of return shipping for returning or exchanging your Online Exclusive shoes using the prepaid return label provided. Store locations are unable to accept returns or exchanges of Online Exclusive shoes.

U.S. Returns

Exchange/Return to any Express store
Bring the invoice, the merchandise, and the credit card used for the purchase to any Express store. With an original receipt merchandise returns will be refunded in the method of original payment within 90 days of purchase. A merchandise credit will be issued for returns accompanied by a gift receipt or for returns purchased online using an alternative payment provider such as PayPal or BillMeLater. Without an original receipt, we will issue a merchandise credit for the current selling price. Valid ID is required for all returns and exchanges.

Exchange/Return by mail using the prepaid label for ease and convenience
Check one of the four boxes on the front of the invoice, Exchange; Refund; If this was a gift: Refund Me; or Refund the Giver. Detach and include the return form, indicate a reason code and quantity for each item returned and note any reorder instructions. Retain order summary for your records. Affix the prepaid return label provided. Drop your package in the U.S. mail. The cost of using the prepaid return label service is $6.99 and will be deducted from your refund. Refunds will be issued in the form of original payment.

Exchange/Return by mail on your own
If you prefer to return using the delivery service of your choice OR if a prepaid return label was not provided, please ship your return to the address below. (Prepaid labels only available for U.S. orders). Packages must be returned prepaid.

Canadian Returns
Address your return to the following address (the return form must be included with the return). For Canadian orders your International Processing Fee will be refunded only if you return your purchase by mail to the Canadian returns address provided below. Feel free to use the pre-addressed returns label on the bottom of the invoice that came with your order. Detach and include the return form, indicate a reason code and quantity for each item returned and note any reorder instructions. Retain order summary for your records. Refunds will be issued in the form of original payment. Packages must be returned prepaid.

By using the pre-addressed returns label, you authorize our customs broker to act as your agent with The Canada Revenue agency to clear merchandise and process all duty and tax refunds.

Canadian orders are not eligible for the free returns.

Express stores in the United States can only accept returns and exchanges from online orders delivered to U.S. addresses.

Gift Return/Exchange
If you have received a gift from express.com that you would like to return or exchange by mail, please ensure that you check the proper box on the front of the invoice that came with the order. If you check ‘If this was a gift: Refund Me,’ a gift card will be sent to the original ship to address, or to a new address if specified along with the return. If you check the box ‘If this was a gift: Refund the Giver,’ the refund will be credited back to the original form of payment. If you fail to check either box on an order which has been designated as a gift, the refund will be credited back to the original form of payment.

If you have received a gift from express.com that you would like to return to an Express store, simply bring the merchandise and the accompanying gift receipt to the store. You will receive a merchandise credit.
